Barog railway station is a small railway station in the Solan district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The station lies on UNESCO World Heritage Site Kalka–Shimla Railway. The station is located at an altitude of 1,531 metres (5,023 ft) above mean sea level, 42.14 km from Kalka. It has allotted the railway code of BOF under the jurisdiction of Ambala railway division. The original 610 mm (2 ft) wide narrow gauge Kalka-Shimla Railway was constructed by Delhi-Ambala-Kalka Railway Company and opened for traffic in 1903. The line was later regauged to 762 mm (2 ft 6 in) wide narrow gauge.
Dagshai jail museum is a former British prison which is now a museum frequented by tourists. Dhagshai is one of the oldest cantonment towns in the Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. Earlier the place was used as a storage yard. After it was cleaned up with the help of the army, a well designed structure emerged. Later, this place was converted into a museum. It is the only museum in India which is the only jail museum in India apart from the Cellular Jail in the Andamans.
A trip through the jail blocks is as chilling now as it was in the British era. Construction of the jail began in 1849 and included 54 maximum cellular cells.

At a distance of 1.5 km from Kasauli Bus Stand, Sunrise Point is a beautiful viewpoint situated on Lower Mall near Ros Common in Kasauli. This point was formerly called as Hawa Ghar due to the steady air currents throughout the year. Sunrise point is about 300m from Ros Common. A complete view of sunrise can be experienced from the place. From the sunrise point, visitors can enjoy the panoramic view of the Chandigarh city and the surrounding areas.
